Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm and Prof. Dr. Monika Schnitzer are new members of the German Council of Economic Experts.
Veronika Grimm, Professor of Economic Theory at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, has received her certificate of appointment as new member of the GCEE for the term until 28 February 2022. The term of Monika Schnitzer, Professor of Comparative Economic Research at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, ends on 28 February 2025.

The new members succeed Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Christoph M. Schmidt and Prof. Dr. Isabel Schnabel. The term of Christoph M. Schmidt has ended on 29 February 2020. Isabel Schnabel took up her new position as Director of the European Central Bank (ECB) on 1 January 2020 and resigned as a member of the German Council of Economic Experts at the same time.
