National Productivity Dialogue
The National Productivity Dialogue is a platform for regular exchange at national and international level on productivity. Promoting an exchange is one task of the German Council of Economic Experts as the National Productivity Board of Germany.
The National Productivity Dialogue is organised annually and jointly by the Representation of the European Commission in Germany and the German Council of Economic Experts.
20 June 2024, Berlin
The fifth National Productivity Dialogue was held on 20 June 2024 at the Representation of the European Commission in Germany in Berlin. The topics of the conference were growth opportunities driven by innovation as well as start-ups and the decarbonisation of freight transport.
26 January 2023, Berlin
The fourth National Productivity Dialogue took place on 26 January 2023 in Berlin, again jointly organised with the Representation of the European Commission in Germany. All discussions are available as video (mostly in German).

The second National Productivity Dialogue took place as a virtual event. All discussions are available as video (in German only). The core topic of the National Productivity Dialogue was the development of the productivity in Germany and how innovation, digitalisation and industrial and climate policy can contribute to its improvement.

Representatives from politics, business and academia met in Berlin for the first National Productivity Dialogue in Germany, which was also the first of its kind in the EU. The objective of the dialogue was to explore the implications for economic policy and to share ideas for better conditions for growth.
