Michael Kogler joined the scientific staff of the GCEE as senior economist for productivity in April 2023. He previously worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Economics of the University of St. Gallen (FGN-HSG). Since 2016, he holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Gallen. In his doctoral thesis «Essays on the Regulation and Taxation of Banks», he focused on macroprudential regulation and the taxation of banks. He was visiting scholar at New York University between 2017 and 2018. His current research areas are reallocation and productivity, finance and growth, and the taxation of banks.
