Thilo Kroeger is senior economist for productivity on the scientific staff. He joined the scientific staff of the GCEE in September 2022. At the same time, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen and EKF (Denmark's Export Credit Agency) since 2021. His research covers international economics, labour market and development economics. During his PhD studies, which he completed in 2021, he worked as a research assistant at the Kiel University (CAU). He has also completed research stays at Yale University and the International Monetary Fund. He has experience as a research associate in the Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI). From 2011 to 2016 he studied economics at the Universities of Kiel, Glasgow, Mannheim and Stockholm and he completed the Advanced Studies Program of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in 2019. He is an External Research Fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization.
