Benedikt Runschke joined the scientific staff of the GCEE as an economist for labour markets and social policy in July 2023. Previously, he was a senior researcher at the WifOR Institute for international social policy in Darmstadt. There, he worked on labour market analyses of skilled labour and skills requirements. As part of his dissertation, he analyzed gender inequalities in online labour markets. He previously studied economics at the universities of Cologne and Bonn. His research interests lie in empirical labour market research and the platform economy.
