On Wednesday, 8 November 2023, the German Council of Economic Experts will present its Annual Report to the German government.
In this year's report, the Council analyses the outlook for economic growth and inflation in 2023 and 2024. In addition, the Annual Report will discuss income inequality in Germany, the challenges of ageing society for the statutory pension scheme, capital markets in Germany and Europe and the state of the German research data infrastructure. The Annual Report also includes the National Productivity Report, which is presented annually by the GCEE which is Germany's national productivity board. This year’s productivity report discusses Germany’s medium- and long-term growth prospects on the basis of a long-term projection of potential output.
