Martin Werding was already appointed by the Federal Government to the German Council of Economic Experts in summer 2022 for a term of office until 29 February 2028. Initially, he was appointed by the Federal President for the remaining term of office of his predecessor. Now, he was appointed for his first full five year term as a member of the German Council of Economic Experts commencing on 1 March 2023.
