The Federal Government has proposed to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier the reappointment of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Monika Schnitzer to the German Council of Economic Experts until 28 February 2030, so that she will begin her second term of office on 1 March 2025.
Monika Schnitzer is Professor of Comparative Economics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU). She was first appointed to the GCEE in April 2020.
