On 2 November, the German Council of Economic Experts will present its Annual Report to the Federal Government. This coincides with the 1,000th meeting of the Council since its foundation in 1963.
As in previous years, the Council will analyse the current economic situation on national and international level and its likely development. Furthermore, the report will focus on monetary policy, financial markets, labour market and energy policy as well as Germany’s pension system. It also contains analyses on “Brexit”, inequality, refugee migration and the economic transformation process in China.
